One-day seminar with Neville Fay and Philip van Wassenaer. This seminar will discuss preserving mature trees from unnecessary removal, improving understanding of the aging process in trees. In this seminar, the instructors will discuss veteran tree care, veteran tree habitat, biodiversity, co-evolution, and conservation management approaches that include newly developed pruning techniques. The instructors will demonstrate the use of Picus tomography, a non-invasive tool that uses sound waves to assess decay in trees.
