In Europe the same process isaccompanied by economic and demographic changes (population decline, aging, etc.). These changes - that have significant implications forthe natural and urban environment, social composition of the society, infrastructure, etc. - also raise some questions: How can we adequatelyprepare our cities to be successful in the 21st century? Which are thecurrent and future challenges for planning and managing urban greenspaces? Should we rethink our cities and their green spaces? How willthe future generation experience the urban environment and what rolewill urban green spaces play in it?
