Large Trees & Small Trees

Up one level
An electronic 'publication' from the Center for Urban Forest Research (Davis, CA) & the Urban Forestry South (Athens, GA) entitled "The Large Tree Argument" is available in two formats.

Use the 'booklet' format if you want to print a master copy that can be used to copy and print booklets (folded and stapled) in either 11x17 or 8.5x11 format. This publication was designed for 11x17 so use 'shrink to fit' if using the later.

The '1 Up' format prints one page per sheet when booklets aren't required.

This publication is also available as a high resolution, CYMK, pre-press PDF that is suitable for local offset printing. If you are considering printing large quantities of this publication and you would like higher quality, please contact Urban Forestry South and we will mail a CD.

People had a sense that these large trees were important to them, their family, and their community. And this was long before we quantified the benefits of trees. Now we have scientific evidence for what these people knew decades ago.
