Stress factors of urban trees and their relevance for vigour and predisposition for parasite attacks

In the city of Basel, the effect on site factors such as tree grid size, nutrition and air pollution upon tree vigour and on attacks by pests and pathogenic fungi was studied from 1984 to 1997. The aim of this study is to get longterm information on urban tree health, causes of damages and efficiency of ameliorating site conditions. [UMN]
