i-Tree - STRATUM Sample Street Tree Inventory - Social Circle, GA
The i-Tree software suite currently supports only the PocketPC platform on PDA's and is not compatible with GIS technology. The GIS is very useful for locating trees in a community. Using available GPS equipment, we set out to demonstrate that data could be easily collected using non-supported equipment and imported into the STRATUM software to gain valuable information about urban forest structure as well as the economic and ecological benefits of street trees.
