This publication focuses on greening the city of Philadelphia.
The first section of this book reveals the extent, causes, and crippling effects of vacant land on the vitality of America's older cities and the consequences on our society's use of its resources. The second section presents the story of Pennsylvania Horticulture Society, a nonprofit organization that has worked for nearly 30 years greening the city of Philadelphia.
