Protecting and Developing the Urban Tree Canopy

This report suveyed members to establish a baseline of information on current community tree efforts.

This 8.5x11 34 page booklet surveyed the nation's principal cities, those having populations of 30,000 and larger. The survey instrument sought to find information from individual cities on how they had: linked thier community tree activities to other efforts to promote sustainability and climate protection, organized thier activites relating to trees, including the roles they play and the authorities they exercise, partnered with other organizations in undertaking these activities, and reached out to and educated residents and community organizations on the importance of preserving and enlarging the tree canopy.
