The Complete How to Guide to Xeriscaping

This guide helps citizens of Albuquerque create beautiful landscapes while conserving valuable resources.

There are 48 pages of information broken up with eight sections. The first section, “Xeriscape Basics,” briefly discusses the planning required to make an effective xeriscape. Next, there are picture oriented instructions on proper planting. This is followed by selections of trees, shrubs, and other plants that are adapted to the landscape. There are many alternatives to the popular non-native Kentucky Bluegrass. The end of the guide contains a large list of plants and their characteristics. Information given in the list includes plant size, water requirements, and allergic potential.
