The Landscape Below Ground: Proceedings of an International Workshop on the Tree Root Development in Urban Soils: Part 2 Roots (VHS Video)
This video explains how roots develop and grow naturally and how best to transplant trees so their roots will grow as naturally as possible. Experiments with potted, balled and burlapped, and bare root trees are explored and the results are displayed. The primary objectives are preventing circling roots from occurring and explaining the length of time needed for roots to recover after transplanting.
