Tree Biology and Problems

This is a brief factsheet about the sources of tree failures in urban landscapes

Some sources include owner neglect and improper care.  Common tree care practices in the past are still used, but they may be detrimental to tree health.  Other important factors that affect tree health include planting location, resilience to pests, tendency of codominance, and the form of the tree. The factsheet also discusses how a tree's energy budget changes over the lifespan of the tree.
