Trees & Shrubs: for Living, for Wildlife, for Conservation, In the Mid-Atlantic States

The idea for this publication on trees and shrubs began in the State Forester's office in Delaware. The foresters knew there was a great variety of information written about trees but that most of it wasn't written with the K-12 student in mind. It is scattered in many books and pamphlets which do not focus on the trees the students might see in the areas where the lived. The foresters felt that 3 categories of information about trees and shrubs should be developed with the needs of students in mind: Living, Wildlife, and Conservation.
