Urban Tree Risk Management: A Comprehensive Framework (I)

Part I of a presentation at the 2012 Mississippi Urban Forest Council annual meeting in Jackson.

This is an introductory discussion of a comprehensive risk management program that can support local urban forest management & disaster planning. It is based on Urban Tree Risk Management: A Community Guide to Program Design and Implementation (Porlorny 2003). This framework will guide city & urban forest managers through the development & implementation of a risk management program that is based on current arboricultural standards.
