What's Wrong With This Tree?
This fact sheet discusses the physiological stresses on plants that are often misdiagnosed.
Newly planted and transplanted trees are susceptible to both short and long term damage if proper tree care is not implemented. The roots of a new tree are easily damaged and must be handled carefully. Branches and trunks can experience sunscald, frost cracking, and winter desiccation. If this occurs, the owner must find a way to protect part or the entire tree from the elements.
