Urban Forests featured at Center for Watershed Protection Annual Conference

Urbanization consumes forest land cover and increases stormwater runoff volume and flow rate. Using urban forest systems can help to mitigate stormwater runoff. At the Center for Watershed Protection Annual Conference in Charleston, SC trees and urban forests were featured as a dedicated session and in a pre-conference workshop reviewing the current research, demonstrating some recently developed tools to help stormwater managers quantify their benefits and return on investment.
